TECHNICAL SERVICE AND GUIDE

Maintenance-repair service personnel (technicians) are required to perform different tasks on a wide variety of equipment. Whether it's a simple repair on a hydraulic hose fitting or a major overhaul, the two key elements needed to successfully perform the job are the proper tools and the right knowledge. The technician's goal is to accurately identify and repair the problem as soon as possible. Technicians should have a toolbox with all the necessary tools to complete any job safely and accurately. The service manual is the technician's most important assistant. It contains information on all kinds of equipment and spare parts that may be needed, along with the necessary safety measures to perform maintenance and repairs, especially electrical and hydraulic diagrams.

Service and Spare Parts departments work in the most efficient way by having the correct hydraulic and electrical diagrams, assembly guides, spare part guides and technical documents specific to the spare parts used for the vehicles of different models and features that the company has manufactured until that day.

In order to provide you with the correct information in the service and spare parts manuals quickly and easily, all current production manuals and the oldest production manuals can be accessed at www.asutay.com.tr, and also by reading the QR code of your vehicle from the X-Asist application, the User Manual related to the vehicle, You can access the most up-to-date version of the Service Manual and Spare Parts Manual. In case the manuals supplied to you with your vehicle are lost, you can also obtain hard copy manuals from our Service and Spare Parts department.

TILT (SLOPE) SENSOR

Tilt sensors used in Asutay scissor lifts are part of the electronic safety system that detects the angle of the machine with the flat ground in the x and y axes. According to the tipping calculation for the maximum load and angles, the angle information received from the tilt sensors is processed by the vehicle's electronic security system and does not allow working outside the safe working area.

Angle information from the tilt sensor is a normally closed switch that opens when the vehicle's preset maximum operating limits are tilted beyond a preset angle. When the tilt switch is opened, the tilt switch circuit will sound an alarm and/or disable functions.

Two types of tilt sensors are available. In the 1st type tilt sensors, the x and y angle values are fixed values, and it is a normally closed switch that activates when the angle of the vehicle with the ground reaches those values. (Figure 1) According to the software in the electronic system, it interrupts the functions of the vehicle and only allows downward movement.

In the 2nd type inclination sensors, the value is read on a wide scale as analog. (Figure 2) They give output values as voltage and amperage. When the predetermined angle values are reached, the analog signal is processed by the vehicle's processor and the vehicle is operated in a safe area. In case of excessive slope, thanks to the electronic security system, audible and visual warnings are received and the vehicle moves safely only in the down direction.

Both types of tilt switches/sensors need to be calibrated after they are installed in order to do their job correctly. If the tilt switch/sensor is not properly calibrated, the system will not give audible and visual warnings and/or will not interrupt functions at the right angle. To calibrate the tilt switch/sensor, first make sure the machine mounting surface is flat.

Calibration must be performed each time the tilt switch/sensor is installed on the machine. If the tilt switch/sensor mounting bracket is adjusted for any reason, the tilt sensor must be recalibrated after bracket adjustment.

Tilt switches/sensors are programmed at specific angle ranges for each scissor lift model. Therefore, when replacing a tilt switch/sensor, it is very important to replace it with a tilt switch/sensor with the part number that matches the model and serial number of the scissor lift you are working on. Also, tilt switch types should not be changed, the correct type originally installed on the machine should be used.
